Questions & Answers

Our Meetings

  • This question is answered in this keynote walkthrough.

  • Aside from payment of the annual fee and an age requirement of 18 or older, there are currently no other specified requirements to join. This is called ‘World’ Peace Research, so it’s best if many types of people join. The age requirement, at the time of meeting, is implemented due to the potential of sensitive discussions and related material.

  • People that have a deep interest in the human mind, circumstances of individuals around the world, timelines and possibilities.

  • An amount like 100 is intended to give all Thinkers the ability to really get to know each other over potentially decades. It’s also a lot easier for 100 individuals/Thinkers to participate in discussions if they wish.

  • Maybe, but also maybe not. In the future, all current Thinkers can take a vote to determine if there should be more than 100. Perhaps it might be nice if at least one person from each UN-recognized country could be present at each meeting.

  • By default, no. You can certainly bring one or more individuals to the hotel, but they may not attend our meetings, unless they are a Thinker or are on the guest list. Exceptions can be made, however, on a case-by-case basis.

  • Yes, having guests (non-Thinkers) attend our meetings will spice things up a bit. Each meeting should have at least one guest, but preferably multiple guests. Know about someone who you think should be invited? Email to possibly get them added to the list.

  • Of all methods of human communication, in-person meetings are among the most authentic. These think tank meetings can be thought of as similar to a wedding or a funeral. It’s possible to attend both of those virtually, but everyone knows that in person is the way to go.

  • In a way, yes. If you can imagine back in high school, meeting 9 friends (10 friends total with you included) at a local Taco Bell, the conversations came naturally…whatever came to mind. With our meetings, instead of 9 friends, it’s 99 Thinkers (that can also be considered friends). And instead of a local Taco Bell, it’s a special hotel in Switzerland. After meeting over and over with the same people again, the conversations should eventually come natural.

  • While it would be nice if all Thinkers attended every single meeting, choosing to skip meetings at your convenience is understandable. You can choose to attend once a year, once every season, only during the summer, only during January (same days as Davos), whatever works for you. Please note that in the future, a minimum attendance requirement may be implemented.

  • This question is answered in this keynote walkthrough.

  • Currently, there is no dress code. However, the hotel staff may ask you to change if you’re wearing anything that might be deemed inappropriate.

  • One location, 100 individuals/Thinkers from around the world. Moreover, Switzerland managed to stay generally neutral throughout WW1 and WW2. If there’s something special about the land, people, and culture…then having our meetings in Switzerland offers all Thinkers the opportunity to internalize whatever that something special is.

  • Locations (special hotels in Switzerland) may rotate based on availability and other factors.

  • Do you have a favorite hotel in Switzerland? Email to possibly get it added to the rotation.

Annual Fee

  • This question is answered in this keynote walkthrough.

  • Yes, choose any number that’s available.

  • Yes, it could be a good idea to ask your university or employer to cover your annual fee (and travel expenses too possibly) before using your personal funds or other source of funds.

  • No, the payment for the annual fee is not recurring. This means that you will have to manually make the payment when the option becomes available, year after year, or until a recurring option is offered.

  • Possibly, email to inquire and be sure to mention your chosen Thinker number. The option to pay online for your chosen Thinker number will be removed and marked as pending once there’s an arrangement to pay using a different method. Once payment has been cleared, it will be marked as paid.

  • Once payment is finalized and completed online, you may request a refund within 24 hours. After that, the funds will be dedicated to immediate use and will not be refunded. In the future, once World Peace Research becomes more established, a longer refund-request period may be offered. Moreover, transaction fees (about 3% of the payment processed) may be non-refundable.

Founder

  • Darryl Cervantes is the founder of World Peace Research. If you Ecosia the name, not much will show up. He does not have a complex social media presence and has not been featured on any podcasts or any other media publications. A way for him to circumvent this, though, would be for you to arrange an IRL Preliminary.

  • He did not graduate from any college. Instead, he has consumed a cornucopia of videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and songs.

  • In a way, yes. Any sold domain names will be considered a sale through the company (domain names are registered to World Peace Research, Inc.) in which the proceeds may be paid partially or fully to Darryl Cervantes as a bonus of some sort to his salary total (bonus cap mentioned in this keynote walkthrough may be lifted for certain employees in this scenario). OKeyeCU.com (DOMAIN NAMES STARTING FROM THE LOW $100,000s)

  • Yes, he has completed over 1,000 estimated hours playing RuneScape during his childhood.

  • It is an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game), based in medieval times that, in a way, had/has its own form of social media and cryptocurrency.

  • It was realized after filming this keynote walkthrough that it is contradictory for the founder to have an investment in a company (Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.) that develops video games (Grand Theft Auto series) depicting violence. The investment will eventually be liquidated, however, it is currently unclear as to when. Check back here at a later time for the most updated details.

  • Generally, yes. A lot of his clothes are from Bangladesh. A lot of the things he loves are technically free. Silence, fresh air, sounds of nature. In Switzerland, he considers a pack of salami, a baguette, and a bottle of Rivella to be a fairly excellent meal. Maybe even some of dat Swiss tap water instead of Rivella. The main thing to note here, though, is that his favorite dreams are of heartfelt, simple interactions with various types of people.

  • Yes, he basically sees gratitude as an assessment of past and current circumstances. And these assessments are ongoing, necessary to proceed forward into the future.

  • In terms of US politics, he is not part of any political affiliation, meaning he is neither a Democrat or Republican. He has never voted in any election and does not plan to ever vote unless he meets the candidates in person first. He sees whatever’s going on in the US as similar to whatever’s going on in any other country, meaning no country is exempt from general, ongoing observation. In terms of international politics, he views the Swiss government and Scandinavian/Nordic governments as examples of what all other countries, in their own ways, should try to strive for.

  • From his understanding, video games have been using the ‘technology’ forever, it’s just now being referred to as AI. He read somewhere that AI is similar to the early days of the internet. People thought it would replace a bunch of jobs, and indeed, it did. But the internet also created a ton of new jobs that never existed before.

  • Yes, he has completed special training that may have been as difficult as some military training programs. This may be discussed further during an IRL Preliminary.

  • This keynote walkthrough was filmed in late February 2025 and uploaded in early March 2025. On Memorial Day 2025 (May 26, 2025), advertising commenced.

IRL Preliminary

  • It’s a process that can help someone circumvent the need for a complex social media presence. In this case with Darryl Cervantes, meeting him in real life is truly the only way to get to know him. Afterwards, you can make a solid decision as to whether or not you should join the think tank.

  • No, it is not required. You are welcome to pay the annual fee without completing an IRL Preliminary.

  • Yes, that is fine, one person or multiple people.

  • Yes, you can send someone else on your behalf.

  • No, you are welcome to take breaks and/or end/leave at any moment.

  • Yes, it could be a good idea to ask your university or employer to cover the cost for an IRL Preliminary before using your personal funds or other source of funds.

  • Yes, you are welcome to arrange more than one.

  • First allows for the greatest amount of time. “It takes 34 hours to take someone from an acquaintance to a friend.”

Other

  • Since 2019, Darryl Cervantes has been working on this concept, playing with different names. But it wasn’t until 2024 that the concept was formally incorporated (World Peace Research, Inc.) into a Delaware C Corporation. Inspiration comes from US government agencies, which usually have boring names. Moreover, the name servers as a reminder for all employees to stay true to the company’s original purpose as time moves on. Perhaps we can kind of think of this as like the Porsche 911, which has pretty much stayed the same since inception. Meanwhile, the Corvette has made people wonder if it should’ve just been a mid-engine vehicle from the get-go.

  • It’s currently up in the air as to what the tagline is, hopefully one can be settled on at a think tank meeting. But that seems like a decent tagline, probably not entirely accurate…but it does sound and look good.

  • No formal procedure currently exists to ‘sponsor’ a Thinker. But yes, you can arrange to cover the annual fee and/or travel expenses for one or more individuals. In the future, World Peace Research may offer a waitlist for those who’d like to be sponsored. If a Thinker is sponsored, it will be known to all other Thinkers.

  • All systems go. If we can think of life as like this huge machine, then World Peace Research is like an observer that is constantly trying to identify components of the machine that can be improved. Feel free to take a look at the proposals to see what’s already been identified.

  • No formal definition of world peace is currently provided by World Peace Research. However, the founder chooses to categorize it by 54321… 5 is inner peace, 4 is household peace, 3 is local peace, 2 is domestic peace, and 1 is international peace.

  • There should be a massive list of ways this ‘huge machine’ could be improved. And everyone, all around the world, just keeps reviewing the list and doing what they can to address issues. Which could be as simple as adding a US publicly traded company to a watchlist, years before even trading it. Perhaps World Peace Research will be responsible for creating this massive list, in the form of proposals.

  • Yes, questions & answers will update to reflect the current period in time. Feel free to recheck this page again in the future.

  • Email and/or arrange an IRL Preliminary.
